COEXIST (German Talk)

For over twelve years, the internationally awarded film director and photographic artist has traveled with her Leica camera through Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Australia in search of natural reflections on shop window glass, which in their condensation tell of the coexistence of human life. Charged to the highest complexity, her photographs are visualizations of the commonalities and contrasts that exist in our diversely interconnected world. The artist completely dispenses with digital post-processing of her photographs. The result is a multi-layered view of the highly topical question of coexistence in our present. The lecture by Franziska Stünkel contains profound insights into the creation of the photographs. She also illuminates the influences that her work as a film director and as a photographer have on each other.
