On Friday, 2 September 2022, at 11 a.m. the press conference for Berlin Photo Week 2022 will take place in the Arena Berlin. Anna-Maria Seifert (COO BERLIN PHOTO WEEK GmbH), Wolfgang Heinen (CEO BERLIN PHOTO WEEK GmbH), Andréa Holzherr (Global Exhibitions Director Magnum Photos) and Benjamin Jäger (Art Director BERLIN PHOTO WEEK) as well as representatives of the participating cultural institutions and imaging partners are expecting you. From 10.00 a.m. there will be the opportunity to visit the various exhibitions on the grounds.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Magnum Photos, the world-famous photo and photography agency is celebrating together with the BERLIN PHOTO WEEK (BPW) and partner institutions in Berlin.

This year’s BERLIN PHOTO WEEK (2-9 September 2022) will feature numerous exhibitions, conferences, workshops, book signings, talks and much more. A group of Magnum photographers will travel to Berlin especially for this. In addition, numerous companies from the imaging industry as well as partners with an affinity for photography will present their latest products and services.

The event and exhibition fireworks surrounding the 75th anniversary of Magnum Photos will take place in the main location of this year’s BPW, the Arena Berlin, as well as in renowned cultural institutions such as the Helmut Newton Foundation, the Reinbeckhallen, CHAUSSEE 36, the Loock Galerie, the Galerie Buchkunst Berlin, f3 – freiraum für fotografie and the Robert Morat Galerie.
